TS MedicalTM was established in 2013 to develop innovative health products that support an active, healthy lifestyle.

The company’s ActiveAxisTM product line, and release of our FitFootTM  product was designed to improve circulation via simple and inexpensive devices for use at home, travel along with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other settings.

Founder and CEO, Mary Anne Tarkington, MD recognized a need for products that improve circulation and reduce the risk of blood clots. Being a surgeon, she is particularly sensitive to the serious nature of blood clots, which are a well-known complication of surgery and certain chronic diseases. Today, she leads the company’s research program, focusing on circulation-boosting tools to prevent such complications.

FitFoot aims to serve the 5 million people who have surgery in the US annually with solutions for prehabilitation and enhanced recovery after surgery. But there are many other populations that can benefit from better circulatory health. For example, Fitfoot may help tens of millions living with peripheral arterial disease, chronic venous insufficiency, and diabetes – and millions more battling COVID-19 or living a sedentary lifestyle.

TS Medical has patented and developed the ActiveAxis line of innovative and simple exercise devices for home, travel and clinical use. They promote blood flow, lymph drainage, and strength building that have been found to aid in the treatment and rehabilitation of conditions and injuries affecting the lower legs.

Dr. Mary Anne Tarkington

Founder and CEO

Mary Anne is passionate about developing therapeutic products that enhance circulation and one day, may reduce the incidence of blood clots and venous thromboembolism (VTE).

As a urologic surgeon, she is particularly sensitive to the impact of VTE on both surgical and medical patients as well as those with certain underlying medical conditions. Her recent focus has been on the role circulation boosting products might play in surgical prehabilitation and enhanced recovery after surgery.

Mary Anne is an experienced oncology researcher and is a former Research Scholar of the American Foundation for Urologic Disease, who conducted work at the Lombardi Cancer Center, Georgetown University.

Mary Anne is the recipient of multiple honors and awards, She holds degrees from Vassar College (BA) and Georgetown University (MD), where she also completed her clinical training.

Dave Boulos

Product Management and Engineering

Dave has 30+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Marketing and Engineering with a proven history of taking high-tech solutions from concept to “best of breed” status.

Prior to TS Medical, Dave has held executive positions in Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and Support in organizations such as ILS Technology, ComBrio, Telco Systems, SP Global and Sengex to include the definition, development and marketing of health devices.

Dave holds degrees in Electrical Engineering, Business Management, Data Communications, and Telecommunications from Northeastern University.

Patricia Eisenhardt

Corporate and Clinical Program Director

Patricia has worked with TS Medical since 2016. She is closely involved in advising business strategy, partnerships, and coordinating proof of concept for market entry.

A serial entrepreneur with one exit, Patricia has co-founded several life science startups with a track record of successful fundraising and partnerships. She also has had the honor of being among the first in the nation to launch innovation programs for major health systems. Her passion is to enhance the quality of life through medical innovation.

Patricia holds degrees from the University of Chicago (AB), Columbia University (AM), and The Ohio State University (MBA).

Teodoro Forcht Dagi

Senior Advisor
Teo brings broad expertise in clinical neurosciences, patient safety, biomedical innovation and venture capital to TS Medical. In addition, he assists and advises the company commercialization strategy. He has been involved in over 30 start-ups, and has served as a director of privately held and publicly-traded companies in the US, Canada, the US, and the Baltics.

Teo currently serves as Enterprise Vice-Chair and Professor of Neurosurgery at the May Clinic. Previously, he served as the CEO of Boston Neurosciences. He also is a past Chair of the Committee on Perioperative Care of the American College of Surgeons and the Council of Surgical and Perioperative Safety, as well as a director of the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation.

Teo holds degrees from Columbia University (AB), Johns Hopkins University (MD, MPH), and Wharton (MBA),. He trained in neurosurgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Guy’s, Maudsley and King’s College Hospitals Neurosurgical Unit in London. He was appointed the Neuroresearch Foundation Fellow, and then the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr., Fellow at Harvard University. He also was awarded a DMedSc (Honoris Causae) from Queen’s University and a DHC from the University of Kaunas for contributions to medicine and public service.

Hans Schmidt

Mr. Hans Schmidt is the former chairman of Heyer Medical, and currently the Director at Sengex LLC and Chief Executive Officer at Winthrop Management Services, Inc. Hans is assisting TS Medical as an advisor through his vast experience in the development and distribution of medical devices.

Eric Vollmecke

Senior Advisor

As an advisor, Eric is bringing is executive experience in advanced technology development and international program management to the TS Medical team.


Eric currently serves as Director/Professor of Practice of the Rapid Prototyping Research Center (RPRC), College of Engineering and Computing at George Mason University. Prior to joining the RPRC, he served in a variety of executive and program management positions at Heyer Medical, SCRA, Lockheed Martin, and Sengex. His 35+ year career includes experience at all organizational levels in government as well as corporate organization and spans key functional areas such as systems engineering, program management, and strategy, partnerships, and manufacturing. He has led many R&D initiatives that have provided cost effective, competitive differentiation for commercial and government clients, worldwide.

Eric also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve component as a Major General and directs the ANG support to the State Partnership Program.Eric served as a Major General in the United States Air Force. As the Air National Guard Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, United States Air Forces in Europe/Air Forces Africa, he led 2,500 personnel and directed the $600M National Guard and Reserves Equipment Account to meet emerging needs of Domestic Operations, Cyber and ISR, concluding his military career serving in The Joint Chiefs of Staff.


Eric holds degrees from The Citadel (BA, Mathematics) and George Washington University (MBA). Professional affiliations include membership in the National Guard Association of West Virginia, the National Guard Association of the United States and the Association of Information Technology Professionals. He is also a recent graduate of the Joint Armed Forces Staff College.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year.
